Centuries of light, in your hands
The mosaic lamp has glowed across Anatolia for generations. Here's the short journey — from then to now.
Glass & light
Colored glass mosaics glow in the churches and palaces of old Constantinople — the craft's earliest ancestor.
The lamp is born
Artisans perfect it — hand-cut glass and İznik-blue color lighting palaces, hammams, and mosques.
A sea of color
Rows of glowing lamps become one of Istanbul's most unforgettable sights.
Now, by you
Lit by LED now, but made the same way — by hand, one piece of glass at a time.
Pick your lamp
Every seat includes all the glass, beads, tools, and guidance you need — plus a warm glass of Turkish tea. Mosaic art panels are coming soon.

Settle in
Step into the studio, find your spot, and get comfortable for a relaxed, hands-on evening.
- 2
A little history
We open with the short story of the Turkish mosaic lamp and a quick look at the glass and tools you'll be working with.
- 3
Design your pattern
Sketch your own design or start from one of our templates — it's your lamp, your colors, your choices.
- 4
Place the glass
Working from the center outward, set each piece of colored glass into place, one at a time.
- 5
Fill with beads
Add glue to the open spaces and pour in glass beads to fill every gap between the tiles.
- 6
Tea & a breather
Set down your tools, pour a warm glass of Turkish tea, and take in the glowing piece you've just made.
- 7
Grout at home
At home, spread grout across the globe, let it dry, wipe it clean — then switch on your light and watch it glow.
Every piece leaves different
